Penguins

First grade

I do these penguins year after year because I have older kids come back and tell me it was their most favorite art project ever. We started out learning about texture and the kiddos created textures using texture plates and crayons. They got to paint their backgrounds any colors they wanted. 

The next week students made an iceberg and penguin. They were glued onto their backgrounds. 

This was the favorite week! I put out fun colorful items to turn their penguin into nothing they want. 

Students add on a frame to complete the Penguins!
