Students began this project learning about Matisse and looking at his artworks. We talked about geometric and organic shapes in his art. Paper was then cut and arranged in an interesting design.
Students practiced drawing body proportions with wood models.
Finally, students drew their body on black paper, cut and glued it to their design. Creative details were added to their person to make it unique.
